Spring
Drive the Mile - Milwaukee residents turn out each May to drive their own street vehicles around "The Milwaukee Mile" racetrack.

Jazz in the Park - Starting in May, the strains of jazz can be heard floating through the park throughout the summer. Free admission draws a picnic crowd, although others prefer to sample the local food and wine. Jazz acts cover a range from local to national acts.

Summer
Gathering on the Green - Some of Milwaukee's best performers turn out for this outdoor performing arts extravaganza. Members from the Milwaukee Ballet Company, the Florentine Opera, the Skylight Opera Theatre and the Gathering on the Green Festival Orchestra bring this musical event to life.

Governor's Cup Race Weekend - The Milwaukee Mile sees more than 200 stock car teams of the finest short-track late-model racers competing on this exciting weekend. For an interactive driving simulation, visitors can also visit the Mobile Mile.

Autumn
Indian Summer Festival - September sees the Indian Summer Festival, the largest Native American festival in the United States, come to the Henry Masier Festival Park. The Festival features an impressive array of cultural demonstrations, juried fine arts, storytellers and entertainers. Aside from the Native American food, visitors are generally impressed by the re-creations of tribal villages and the torch-lit canoe processions.

Milwaukee's Lakefront Marathon - In October, Veterans Park hosts both individual runners and five-person relay teams. Runners enjoy this flat run with the beautiful neighborhoods along Lake Michigan forming an attractive backdrop to the marathon.

Winter
World of Wheels Custom Car Show - More than 300 competitive cars, trucks and bikes are on display at the World of Wheels Custom Car Show. Every January these custom automobiles, sport compacts, low-rides and hot rods are displayed for eager and occasionally envious visitors. Special guest celebrities are often there to sign autographs as well.

Indian Summer Festival's Winter Pow-Wow - The Native Americans invite the public to celebrate their culture and friendship during this March extension of the summer festival. This is a great event to witness traditional Native American songs and dancing.
