January
A King Celebration - Share the memory of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., at the Martin Luther King, Jr. International Chapel on the Morehouse College campus. The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will play a special concert with reserved seating. The event also features inspirational speeches and remembrances.
February
Southeastern Flower Show - Held at the Georgia World Congress Center, this event features three acres of landscape and floral exhibitions. Other highlights include garden-related merchandise, photography exhibits, and locally and nationally known speakers.
April
Atlanta Film Festival - Premiere screenings of new films are featured each year at the Film Festival, along with seminars, discussions and guest appearances by artists from around the world.

Jazz Festival - Music fills the air in Atlanta during the month-long series of concerts that is the Atlanta Jazz Festival. The event wraps up Memorial Day Weekend at Piedmont Park with three straight days of performances. And it's all free!
Georgia Renaissance Festival - Return to Camelot during Memorial Day Weekend with an unforgettable Renaissance festival. The event features shopping, food, jousting and a petting zoo. Special performances and a medieval amusement park are also highlights.
Dragon*Con - Dragon*Con is the largest science fiction and fantasy convention of its kind. The kids may even catch a glimpse of Harry Potter!
June
Summerfest - Held at John Howell Park, this event features diverse arts, delicious food and live music performances. A well-known artists' market compels visitors. This event is great for the whole family and is located in the historic Virginia-Highland area.
July
Peachtree Road Race - You can take part in a terrific Atlanta tradition and "Run the Peachtree" every July 4th. The event is a 10K race from Lenox Mall in Buckhead to Piedmont Park. Sponsored by the Atlanta Track Club, the race was founded in 1970.
Black Arts Festival - Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival celebrates the African-American experience through dance, music, film, theater visual arts and literature. The event includes the Pan African Film Festival.
August
Downtown Atlanta Restaurant Week - Many downtown restaurants show off their finest cuisine and offer special dining promotions of three-course dinners. The event also features live music and art..

Atlantis Music Conference - More than 300 artists, including popular as well as up-and-coming bands, participate in the largest gathering of national and international music industry insiders.

Anime Weekend Atlanta - This annual fall event in Atlanta celebrates Japanese animation and comics.
November
Atlanta Marathon & Half-Marathon - The second largest in Atlanta, this annual race is run each Thanksgiving, beginning and ending at Turner Field Stadium. The marathon is 26.2 miles, while the half-marathon is 13.1 miles. More than 6,000 runners give it their best each year.
December
New Year's Eve with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra - Count down the New Year with style at the Woodruff Arts Center. Enjoy complimentary champagne as the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Michael Krajewski, play everything from Strauss waltzes to Broadway classics.
